It is in my power to do you harm. But the God of your father spoke to me last night, saying, Be careful not to say anything to Jacob, either good or bad. (Gén 31:30)  -  3 / 80.

So Laban went into Jacobs tent and into Leahs tent and into the tent of the two female servants, but he did not find them. And he went out of Leahs tent and entered Rachels. (Gén 31:34)  -  7 / 80.

Now Rachel had taken the household gods and put them in the camels saddle and sat on them. Laban felt all about the tent, but did not find them. (Gén 31:35)  -  8 / 80.

Laban called it Jegar-sahadutha, but Jacob called it Galeed. (Gén 31:48)  -  21 / 80.

Laban said, This heap is a witness between you and me today. Therefore he named it Galeed, (Gén 31:49)  -  22 / 80.

and Mizpah, for he said, The LORD watch between you and me, when we are out of one anothers sight. (Gén 31:50)  -  23 / 80.

If you oppress my daughters, or if you take wives besides my daughters, although no one is with us, see, God is witness between you and me. (Gén 31:51)  -  24 / 80.

Then Laban said to Jacob, See this heap and the pillar, which I have set between you and me. (Gén 31:52)  -  25 / 80.

This heap is a witness, and the pillar is a witness, that I will not pass over this heap to you, and you will not pass over this heap and this pillar to me, to do harm. (Gén 31:53)  -  26 / 80.

The God of Abraham and the God of Nahor, the God of their father, judge between us. So Jacob swore by the Fear of his father Isaac, (Gén 31:54)  -  27 / 80.

and Jacob offered a sacrifice in the hill country and called his kinsmen to eat bread. They ate bread and spent the night in the hill country. (Gén 31:55)  -  28 / 80.

Early in the morning Laban arose and kissed his grandchildren and his daughters and blessed them. Then Laban departed and returned home. (Gén 32:1)  -  29 / 80.

Jacob went on his way, and the angels of God met him. (Gén 32:2)  -  30 / 80.

And when Jacob saw them he said, This is Gods camp! So he called the name of that place Mahanaim.[1] (Gén 32:3)  -  31 / 80.

I have oxen, donkeys, flocks, male servants, and female servants. I have sent to tell my lord, in order that I may find favor in your sight. (Gén 32:6)  -  34 / 80.

And the messengers returned to Jacob, saying, We came to your brother Esau, and he is coming to meet you, and there are four hundred men with him. (Gén 32:7)  -  35 / 80.

Then Jacob was greatly afraid and distressed. He divided the people who were with him, and the flocks and herds and camels, into two camps, (Gén 32:8)  -  36 / 80.

thinking, If Esau comes to the one camp and attacks it, then the camp that is left will escape. (Gén 32:9)  -  37 / 80.

And Jacob said, O God of my father Abraham and God of my father Isaac, O LORD who said to me, Return to your country and to your kindred, that I may do you good, (Gén 32:10)  -  38 / 80.

I am not worthy of the least of all the deeds of steadfast love and all the faithfulness that you have shown to your servant, for with only my staff I crossed this Jordan, and now I have become two camps. (Gén 32:11)  -  39 / 80.

Please deliver me from the hand of my brother, from the hand of Esau, for I fear him, that he may come and attack me, the mothers with the children. (Gén 32:12)  -  40 / 80.

But you said, I will surely do you good, and make your offspring as the sand of the sea, which cannot be numbered for multitude. (Gén 32:13)  -  41 / 80.

So he stayed there that night, and from what he had with him he took a present for his brother Esau, (Gén 32:14)  -  42 / 80.

two hundred female goats and twenty male goats, two hundred ewes and twenty rams, (Gén 32:15)  -  43 / 80.

thirty milking camels and their calves, forty cows and ten bulls, twenty female donkeys and ten male donkeys. (Gén 32:16)  -  44 / 80.

These he handed over to his servants, every drove by itself, and said to his servants, Pass on ahead of me and put a space between drove and drove. (Gén 32:17)  -  45 / 80.

He instructed the first, When Esau my brother meets you and asks you, To whom do you belong? Where are you going? And whose are these ahead of you? (Gén 32:18)  -  46 / 80.

then you shall say, They belong to your servant Jacob. They are a present sent to my lord Esau. And moreover, he is behind us. (Gén 32:19)  -  47 / 80.

and you shall say, Moreover, your servant Jacob is behind us. For he thought, I may appease him with the present that goes ahead of me, and afterward I shall see his face. Perhaps he will accept me. (Gén 32:21)  -  49 / 80.

So the present passed on ahead of him, and he himself stayed that night in the camp. (Gén 32:22)  -  50 / 80.

The same night he arose and took his two wives, his two female servants, and his eleven children, and crossed the ford of the Jabbok. (Gén 32:23)  -  51 / 80.

He took them and sent them across the stream, and everything else that he had. (Gén 32:24)  -  52 / 80.

And Jacob was left alone. And a man wrestled with him until the breaking of the day. (Gén 32:25)  -  53 / 80.

When the man saw that he did not prevail against Jacob, he touched his hip socket, and Jacobs hip was put out of joint as he wrestled with him. (Gén 32:26)  -  54 / 80.

Then he said, Let me go, for the day has broken. But Jacob said, I will not let you go unless you bless me. (Gén 32:27)  -  55 / 80.

And he said to him, What is your name? And he said, Jacob. (Gén 32:28)  -  56 / 80.

Then he said, Your name shall no longer be called Jacob, but Israel, for you have striven with God and with men, and have prevailed. (Gén 32:29)  -  57 / 80.

Then Jacob asked him, Please tell me your name. But he said, Why is it that you ask my name? And there he blessed him. (Gén 32:30)  -  58 / 80.

So Jacob called the name of the place Peniel, saying, For I have seen God face to face, and yet my life has been delivered. (Gén 32:31)  -  59 / 80.

The sun rose upon him as he passed Penuel, limping because of his hip. (Gén 32:32)  -  60 / 80.

Therefore to this day the people of Israel do not eat the sinew of the thigh that is on the hip socket, because he touched the socket of Jacobs hip on the sinew of the thigh. (Gén 33:1)  -  61 / 80.

And Jacob lifted up his eyes and looked, and behold, Esau was coming, and four hundred men with him. So he divided the children among Leah and Rachel and the two female servants. (Gén 33:2)  -  62 / 80.

And he put the servants with their children in front, then Leah with her children, and Rachel and Joseph last of all. (Gén 33:3)  -  63 / 80.

He himself went on before them, bowing himself to the ground seven times, until he came near to his brother. (Gén 33:4)  -  64 / 80.

But Esau ran to meet him and embraced him and fell on his neck and kissed him, and they wept. (Gén 33:5)  -  65 / 80.

And when Esau lifted up his eyes and saw the women and children, he said, Who are these with you? Jacob said, The children whom God has graciously given your servant. (Gén 33:6)  -  66 / 80.

Then the servants drew near, they and their children, and bowed down. (Gén 33:7)  -  67 / 80.

Leah likewise and her children drew near and bowed down. And last Joseph and Rachel drew near, and they bowed down. (Gén 33:8)  -  68 / 80.

Esau said, What do you mean by all this company[1] that I met? Jacob answered, To find favor in the sight of my lord. (Gén 33:9)  -  69 / 80.

But Esau said, I have enough, my brother; keep what you have for yourself. (Gén 33:10)  -  70 / 80.

Jacob said, No, please, if I have found favor in your sight, then accept my present from my hand. For I have seen your face, which is like seeing the face of God, and you have accepted me. (Gén 33:11)  -  71 / 80.

Please accept my blessing that is brought to you, because God has dealt graciously with me, and because I have enough. Thus he urged him, and he took it. (Gén 33:12)  -  72 / 80.

Then Esau said, Let us journey on our way, and I will go ahead of you. (Gén 33:13)  -  73 / 80.

But Jacob said to him, My lord knows that the children are frail, and that the nursing flocks and herds are a care to me. If they are driven hard for one day, all the flocks will die. (Gén 33:14)  -  74 / 80.

Let my lord pass on ahead of his servant, and I will lead on slowly, at the pace of the livestock that are ahead of me and at the pace of the children, until I come to my lord in Seir. (Gén 33:15)  -  75 / 80.

So Esau said, Let me leave with you some of the people who are with me. But he said, What need is there? Let me find favor in the sight of my lord. (Gén 33:16)  -  76 / 80.

So Esau returned that day on his way to Seir. (Gén 33:17)  -  77 / 80.

But Jacob journeyed to Succoth, and built himself a house and made booths for his livestock. Therefore the name of the place is called Succoth. (Gén 33:18)  -  78 / 80.
